A few other things that have gone in mine:

Spanish coffee ( foil block, vac pack. Small, and Good 4 morale or trade)
Chop sticks ( low weight, bamboo is strong 4 stakes repairs, splints)
Water filter kit - most important! (add coffee filters to prefilter, and prolong usefulness.)
Canvas water bucket ( store stuff in it till needed, 4 water and organization)
Vodka or everclear, plastic bottle. ( 4 medical uses, and others, like barter)
Gun kit - hex, flat/phillips, oil, patches

P.s. My favorite Fire starter is drip candle wax on some small sticks n light it

Thanks again for a great list.

I am on two marlin forums, a lever action, hi point, 870, dan wesson,s and w, and I am not on each enough to keep up. i try to enjoy when i can. gun club is more fun though. Our Patriots just won a spot in the superbowl, but not in the kind of weather I want to take my Ith51 out in. I have a few weeks left to put a recoil pad on it.
