I think i have a old turn of the century flues field grade twenty ga double. Its serial is 217758 marked s20 when you break it open. (has dog pointing engraved on it) I want to restore and restock it . Have access to a nice flues 410 stock. The question is was this 20ga. built on a 410 frame or a 12 ga frame ? If built on a 410 frame i will acquire and try and use the 410 stock. If not. The search for a twenty ga stock begins.

How many frames did they use during this time period ? Looks like they were building 410, 20, 16, and 12 side by sides? or am i wrong? Were the stocks for the 20 specific to the twenty or were they interchangable with the 410? 16?...etc
