well pheasant hunting is not nearly as rewarding without a dog at your side..
and a lot harder too so I had to remedy that.
meet Lilith my new WPG

this is not going to be simple since she must learn the way of the city and the fields.
potty training (check)least as far as we can go till she can navigate 4' of steps
car rides(check)its important since she needs to ride to running areas.
next big step is the end of vaccinations so she can start exercising closer to home.

today for the first time she decided to lead on a run , but I had to cut it short cause of mosquitoes
shame too ,she scented her first rabbit and was really getting into it.
on the way out in haste ,I blew the chance of getting her on her first bird... :|

Great pics, and a great looking pup!

My little 4 month old Molly just jumped up on her first tree after a squirrel yesterday afternoon. I have some pics to post this afternoon.

What kind of birds are you planning to hunt with her?

pheasants , chuckers ,quail in that order
and I might dabble in grouse , woodcock and ducks if I get the opportunity .
all can be found in Pa though not all are wild populations.

we have been running on some state game lands recently ,they're about 40 min from my house.
she's starting to use the nose more and more and not get occupied with vegetation.
I gotta start making preps for her to find her first birds.
she's getting into sniffing around ,she's got to find something to keep the interest up
