I have kept treats, like boiled or grilled chicken, my whistles traing dummies and scent, and wings... But when she gets busy and running, nothin works. I havent done the training collar yet though. I may need to light her up a couple times.

Yup sometimes it just comes down to getting a training collar and lighting her up a few times when needed to get her to listen. I believe the company that made my dogs collar was called gun dog. You can find them in any tractor supply co. store I've seen. It also has the feature of audio beeps which I use much more often than zappin him. I conditioned him to hear the beeps then zap. So now just the beeps are fine for getting him to listen. I like the collar a lot, just that they are real expensive.

Yup, they are expensive! I've looked at a number of them but havent noticed them at TSC... I'll have to ask my TSC GF!

I understand the idea of the dog being 80% before using the collar, and in a controlled enviroment shes better than that on things like here and the retrieve. "Here" is the big one, then all other things will follow. I intend to get some homers and let them get to likin our place here, knowin where their bread is buttered, then using them in the traing field up the road.

Yea, training collars are probably the best and most effective training aid. I use a sport dog on two very spirited hounds and I have them to the point where they respond just to the beep I think the last time I had to really zap one of them, my bluetick decided to go lock horns with a fisher.

Ya I did some searching on TSC website here is what I got on him.

There are others with longer ranges, but I find this to be all I need.

Longer range is highly subjective. If you are in very hilly country a 2 mile range isn't going to help you.
That applies to both trainers and trackers, trust me on that one
