28 gauge, we have had rabbits everywhere this year. We'll see what the season actually holds though.

Where I live the grouse and rabbit seasons opened September 1 and run through the last day of December and February respectively. Haven't seen the grouse numbers I usually do but we had a very wet spring.

Hello,Rooselk.Since this is not the right spot to talk hockey I am going to start a thread in the non firearm section of the boards.hope to see you there. :)

Just looking and the non forearm section is for politics. Therefore I will post in the work safe section.

As far as I know I have never seen a hockey game. Here in KY we only have one sport and that is UK Basketball! My wife, however, is from Tennessee where UT football reigns supreme. But she does like hockey because as she says, "it's like football on ice with sticks!" I guess that is our southern take on the sport.

BTW, the season is going well so far. I have rabbit and quail in the freezer just waiting for the frying pan!

Dang, just now seeing this thread!

Our quail and upland season begins Nov 4 and runs through thanksgiving. Though pheasant is until Jan 8.

My daughter and I have been out the last two weekends! Just for quail. We use Ivy, an English Pointer. She would like to hunt a little farther ranging, but I've really had to use the check cord and collars to work on keeping her close. Otherwise shed be one of those dogs that take off runnin and come back in time for bed.

Great dog though! Far better upland hunter than I or my daughter! She points, the bird flushes, and if we dont get em, she finds em again! She found several in the woods yesterday... dang its difficult to get a good bead on a bird in the woods!

OH! One that I got yesterday though, shot it really close and totally shredded it! Sux. I saw it right before it flushed and put my gun on it. Pulled the trigger right after it left the ground. Dang, wish I hadnt and in retro spect would rather have let it go. We would have found it again...

I have some video from this weekend and my daughter Allison gettin her first quail. Is it cool if I post it here?
