the best place I know of for miscellaneous parts is ebay under "Ithaca gun parts"
it might take a bit to find what your looking for ,but most everything shows up eventually |

Brand new listed for sale on eBay right now, starting at $199.

Ebay is good. I have also had luck with gunbroker.

I just acquired an Ithaca Model 37-16 Deerslayer II with a gold inlayed deer head on the receiver and gold numbering 1 of 200. I called Ithaca and they could tell me nothing about the gun except that it was mfg. in 2001. I read elsewhere this is a Kings Ferry made gun. Can anyone tell me anything else about it or point me to where I can find some info? Obviously having the #1 gun in a batch of 200 is something special but I'm wondering why not more info is readily available.

You don't need to post this on every topic in the forum. Your gun's markings do not show that you have the #1 gun of the run. You have any one of the 200 made.

Okay Roadkill, sorry for multiple posts. I'm new to the site. How does someone determine which gun they have if you have 1 of 200?
|
what is the SN#
that may lend a clue |
|
Well, since it was made by the King Ferry Ithaca folks and the current Ithaca folks do not have any records of it, I'm sorry to say that you may never know. Does it just say '1 of 200' or does it say #1 of 200? If the latter, then it would be the first. Without the # sign, it is any of them. Did you get any documentation with it, or the original box? Sometime those are marked. Sorry if I came off as a bit abrupt, I apologize, that was not my intent. Welcome to the site! Bill |

The scuttlebutt (rumor) from a number of sites is that Ithaca made approx 200 of these 16 gauge DS-IIs before they went out. Again, rumor and not substantiated. However, I have seen a couple of them for sale on various gun auction sites the past couple of years. One was a NWTF commemorative (laser engraved stock) and did not sell for the asking $400. Another was just a standard DS-II and sold for $750. I bought one for real short money (mint; had 5 rounds through it) with manual & warranty card. It is accurate as all-get-out with the Lightfields.

there are really 2 different type of "limited"
most often you see a commissioned number of guns made for a 3rd party group. guns like ducks unlimited or wild turkey fund etc commemoratives . sometimes if the organization orders enough runs they may even be give their own SN# sequence. the other type of "run" gun was done by the factory. guns like centennials, Americana's or presentation guns were in house orders for a run. |

It's listed on Gunbroker now if you want to see pics. Beautiful DS-II...
