I am looking for supporters for the Model 37 Deer Slayer 16ga. and those who want to see Ithaca introduce this outstanding gun back into it's product line. Why not have a new "rifiled" slug barrel or upland barrels all ready for screw in chokes?

I say we get enough sig's and submit it to corporate...! Why not re-introduce the all time great of shotguns, the DEER SLAYER...

It's nice to see another fellow supporter! I believe Ithaca needs to re-eval. their prod.. line and replace the 12ga. for the 16ga. I say "old school" is the way to go with this gun!

I appreciate your support DHonovich...

Ya know...I gotta agree with you on that. I just see such a fluctuation of different models, lest just stick to what we all know works. Don't get me wrong but, I just think that the 16 is a much better firearm all around, you know the saying...carries like a 20 kills like a 12. Oh well...I appreciate your opinion Shooter13!!

Thanks for stopping in and I look forward to chatting again soon.

I just acquired an Ithaca Model 37-16 Deerslayer II with a gold inlayed deer head on the receiver and gold numbering 1 of 200. I called Ithaca and they could tell me nothing about the gun except that it was mfg. in 2001. I read elsewhere this is a Kings Ferry made gun. Can anyone tell me anything else about it or point me to where I can find some info? Obviously having the #1 gun in a batch of 200 is something special but I'm wondering why not more info is readily available.

You don't need to post this on every topic in the forum. Your gun's markings do not show that you have the #1 gun of the run. You have any one of the 200 made.
