I have a 1958 37R. The serial number is 7203xx-4. What does the -4 signify?

This question has likely been asked many times.

Thanks in advance for any positive replies. :)

Your actual serial number is on the face of the receiver in between the holes for the barrel and the magazine tube opposite of the the action bar. The older guns had hand fitted barrels to the action for head space reasons. To keep the gun and barrel together the serial number was also applied to the barrel. The -4 on your gun indicates full choke. Improved was -1, Modified was -2, Improved modified is almost never seen and would of been -3.
