I have to say the best I had with my Ithaca 37 12 gauge was many years ago. I came up to a big puddle in our own field looking over a dike and the puddle was absolutley filled with Mallards. I stood up and raised my gun and the ducks flew. I took one shot and got 13 Mallards. Ya that was over my limit, but Gee I couldn't put any back and it was only one shot!
The worst time was with my Ithaca M-49 22cal. when I had to put down my old faithful lab. She was 16 and just had a stroke and I swear she had a sparkle in her eyes when she saw that gun. A very sad time. Donald.

I haven't spent much time with my 37....however, I had a blast refinishing it. It looks soooo much better now. I was thinking of turning it into a trench gun. Cut the barrel down. Add a heat sheild and other stuff. That might be an interesting challenge.

Im sorry to hear about your lab. I had a few labs growing up. Great dogs...I miss them all. I have pit/lab now. She (Loki) is by far my favorite pooch.
