Hello I'm glad I found this sight and hope I may be able to glean some information. I purchased a M 37 that was in a complete detailed stripped condition at an estate sale. The word was the owner love to tear things apart and put them back in his spare time. I want to do a function check on it. I have been looking around the net for a detailed assembly/dis assembly guide with hopes of reverse engineering the weapon. I figure you all may be able to point in the right direction first. My problem at this stage lies in the trigger reassemble. I would appreciate any help in that area.

You tube can be a great resource for how to videos. Parts break downs may also help. You should be able to find a parts break down at the Ithaca web site or the Numrich gun parts corp web site. I also have a Radocy take down guide that has proved helpful. You may be able to find one on Ebay.

Ok so I found plenty of video, but now I need some help on springs. Is the spring under the trigger bigger or smaller than the slide release spring?

ok , you gotta bag a springs.
I wish I was good enough to identify parts by description but i'm not,so... i'd go to the Ithaca website and browse thru their online parts list. many of the parts are pictured i'd try cross matching your springs with their pics |

Well, by the time you finish this project you will realize you are an Ithaca lover and will be in the market for more; so perhaps you should get it over with an buy another 37 now and reverse engineer it in order to get the first one back together! All joking aside the above advise is sound. If you get in a bind let me know and I will take a few pictures and post them of a spare trigger group that I have.

Here is the field maintenance guide in PDF format. Once you bring it up, I suggest you save it to your hard drive as well as print a copy. If you have trouble saving it, say so and we can walk you through the procedure (not meaning an insult, some folks just haven't saved a PDF that they invoked through the web)
This field maint guide is fully illustrated and should provide you the information that you need to finish your project. http://stevespages.com/pdf/ithaca_3787.pdf |
