A fellow on another site has offered me another mod 37 for only $100. The problem is he claims there is a pinhole in the barrel. It is just above the mounting lug. I have never heard of a pinhole in a barrel. By his description and poor photos it looks like it was made before switchable barrels. I am waiting on him to send me the serial# to confirm barrel type. Anyone ever heard or seen anything like that before?

I have not heard of such a thing myself. If the action and wood are in nice condition you should be all right at that price even with the old style barrel. If you had to you could part it out at a profit. If they are rough I would pass.

I have an extra full choke barrel for a 1974 model 37 and no rib I'd part with if you need one.
