Just ordered a M37 Trap with an extra 26 inch barrel and AAA wood. Should be done (I hope) in about 6 weeks. I wanted to get the adjustable comb and LOP, recoil reducer, and some engraving, but just could not justify the expense at this time.
I'm assuming that I can send my shotgun back maybe next year and have this work done. I didn't want to miss out on hunting season this year. The gun will be primarily used for dove/quail/phesant with the occasional trip to the trap range.
I was interested in a case hardened bluing, but this was not an option.
I'm excited about my new shotgun.
I currently own the new M37 defender with a 20 inch barrel and walnut stocked. That action was so smooth that I wanted a hunting shotgun. The drop on the defender was to low so I opted for the trap model.

Thanks, I consider it an honor to be here.

I saw a model 37 that'd been case colored. It was pathetic, real bad. I seem to remember that the reciever allow doesn't color well for some reason. I'm probably wrong on that though.

Ithaca unless I'm wrong doesn't offer any bluing options. Wood options, but not bluing.
I can hardly wait for my new Ithaca. |

You are correct, only one blueing option.

It came in. It is beautiful. Thanks Ithaca! I have to wait until Tuesday to pick it up. The wood leaves no doubt that it's AAA.
