Is there a source that offers replacement ring tailed forend wood for the M37 besides Boyd's? The one I purchased from them has a too small outside diameter where it seats in the rear ferrule. Functional, but not too attractive as the ferrule overhangs the wood instead of being the same size.
Also, will the new Ithaca 8/48 front sights for vent rib barrels fit my 1972 ribbed barrel. The original Raybar is bleached out.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

To answer your questions

a) Check ebay gunbroker and numrich fo a used one. You might have better luck with a used part.

b) THe sights should fit

c) THe barrels will attach to your receiver, but you may need to have the headspace adjusted. A nogo and go headspace gauge set will check. Any good shop that repairs shotguns have these. you can get a set from Brownells if you like.
