I heard about this on another forum. I could post a link to the retailer (this was not a regular item by Ithaca) but I am not sure if this would be frowned upon. If it is ok to link to it, I will provide the link. My interest in this is none other than I want to see every Ithaca ever produced to be sold. :D

As for the gun itself, it is a 12 gauge, 8 shot, 20" with a rifled (fixed) barrel and a synthetic (black) stock and forend. The receiver is also drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It also has sling swivel studs. If it was smooth bore, I would be all over that bad boy!

Thanks, shooter13. I guess I should probably put something up in the introductions forum.

I hate to reply to old threads, but has anyone found one in an Academy yet? I have hit three to no avail. :x I did see they had an eight shot Defense model with a walnut stock no less! Pretty shocking to see the same thing I have at home in the local store.
Insert comical quip here.

I just got one about two monts ago at Academy in Houston, TX. The shotgun looks and feels awesome but I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet!!! I will probably go to the range this weekend and post a little update on how that goes. In the meantime, can anyone give me links to accessory options and anything about the specific HogSlayer model. This seems to be the only thread online about this particular model. The stock night sight are nothing compared to my TFO's on my Glock...I can't even see them in the dark

BTW----1st post on Ithaca Owners ;)

THose aren't tritium based night sights. They are fibre optic sights.

My Academy finally has one, found mine locally a few months back before they had one in stock. I posted about it if you want to see it

Ithaca's site has some accessories listed. HS is basically a fixed barrel, extended mag tube DS for crazy low money. I swear the receiver is finished differently, maybe like their duck gun. Also great if you have others out there, such as coyote on your land.

And yep, fiber sights...not night. A tad of light and the illuminate right up.

Shoot it and let us know how it works for you!
