why "executive " was chosen , i really have no idea.
but heres the background of its origin. in 1975 ithaca had an overstock situation of supream grade wood , they decided to sell wood sets off as blanks to be "customized" by the public. the sets did not sell well. so it was then decided to make 1000 guns ,the guns were designated to be,12g 28"VRmod and untooled meaning there is no roll engravings or wood tooling to the supream grade wood. the guns were given to the ithaca sales force, who then sold them to dealers only. 521 were sold by oct 75,but its unknown if all 1000 were ever sold the general idea i get is that these guns were really blank money guns sold to be customized by the owner or dealer |

I finally had a chance to get my baby out on the range for a shake down.
I haven't fired a shot since pheasant hunting last fall and the gun hasn't fired for 30 yrs what a wonderfully shooting gun 23/25 knocking the rust off. don't think it will ever see the range again , but if your a pheasant i'd be afraid very afraid.... |
