Sadly, the closest 1000yd range available to me is up in Kentucky. I get out to a buddy's farm and we can stretch it to 450-500yd. Not pushing the limits of the rifle by any means, but can still put up some pretty respectable groups at that distance...

Hey, that is still pretty cool, man! Farthest I have ever done is 400 yds.

Here are a few pics from one of our trips.

The targets were set up down at the bottom of a hill and we were shoot'n balloons and 8" targets tacked to a 6'x8' sheet of plywood. There were also a few targets stuck to a 4'x4' steel sheet hangin off the side.

Here are the three shots I took at the steel...

The first shot was way high, but after adjusting elevation the next two were spot on...

It's been a while since these were taken and I need to get back out there...

Here's a couple of Mausers I customized.

A medium weight sporter with a Shilen 26" #5 barrel, Timmeny trigger with shoe, Buehler safety, hinged magazine, and Burris Signature 3-9X scope all built on a '98 action, and what else, but .30-06 of course!

Here's a beauty, a light sporter on another '98 action.
