I liked my Mossberg 590 Cruiser, but with the pistol grip only set-up I didn't get out and shoot it very often. So, I picked up the Blackhawk Knoxx SpecOps adjustable stock this afternoon. Installation was a breeze.

...and with the new stock...

Here it is with the 590A1...

So if it's not a Cruiser anymore I guess it's a "Tactical Breacher" or "590 SP" now, not sure what to call it. The new rig is a much more practical for me and it'll get a lot more range time now. It's got a great feel to it and I can't wait to get it out to the range tomorrow.

talking about case coloring with Lazy eyed sniper reminded about the most beautiful gun I have ever owned. It's a Rizzini Artemis 20 gauge. It is absolutely gorgeous, but alas I couldn't hit a barn with it. It just didn't fit me, so I had to sell it. I still haven't found a gun as pleasing to the eye that sells for under $3000

Thanks Rossignol. That photo doesn't even do it justice. It was absolutely iridescent. I hated like anything to get rid of it, but I just couldn't hit with it. I went from 23-24's down to 15-16's. That's how bad it was.

I tell you Rossignol, there are not too many of them out there, but if you ever get a change to see one, do it. I promise you'll like it even more. I hung onto that thing far longer than I probably should, if only I hated that I had something so nice and still shot it so poorly. I sold it to somebody I know and he can really smash bird with it, so I know I can't blame the gun.

Man this weapon feels great! Can't wait to get out to the range with it. Sadly, the local range is closed over the weekend due to Easter. Looks like I'll have to just drool over it for another week until I can get out to the range to take her for a test drive...

Any love for the humpbacks out there?

1923 vintage Remington Model 11 - reminds me of the Steve Earle song Devil's Right Hand "...shoot as fast as lightning but loads mighty slow."

I love humpbacks! That is a great looking Model 11! Did you see where Browning is resurrecting the shape on the "A5" model and is using an interia driven bolt? I ma sure it is very nice, but dang it isn't the same!
