OK new revised date of manufacture is 1952, and the barrel is not interchangeable. To look for the serial number on the receiver try holding the gun butt down and look on the end of the receiver beside where the barrel enters the receiver, between the barrel and the magazine. Might be there. Good luck

It will be there. On the other side from the barrel slide cutout.

The -4 is the Full choke designator of course. The serial nbr will match the barrel, less the -4.

WALLA!!!!! Found it, I want to thank you guys for taking the time, (If our paths are ever to cross I own you both a tall cool one!!) I didn't think it was that old, I thought I had purchased it in the mid 80's but it must have been earlier than that, it was used when I bought it. We moved to the country in the early 70's & I bought it shortly after to duck hunt with, hunted ducks once or twice, the gun got cased & put in the attic of the garage, where it has been for ???? years, was up there the other day, & stumbled on it & decided to get rid of it, this information will come in handy. Thanks again!!!msn

Ah, the reason that I asked it that 1977 mentioned he might have an interest in it, and he, like myself are here in Ohio.

That is a bit far to drive over and check the gun out.

But do give 1977 an opportunity to yeah or nay !
