Just wanted to shout out to Doc and his gang that the new Ithaca Owners Forum Banner looks great !!
Well done gentlemen !! |

Ya I think its cool! Nice work!

I would like the site programed to place the newest post at the top of its respective section so as to make it easier to find the newest post without having to scroll through all the topics. Other than that this is a great forum on Ithaca shotguns.
Thanks Lon |

Are you aware of this functionality? I ask because I did not see it at first (I am used to VBulletin).

Well, hopefully the forum gets going. However, I don't see much happening. As far as talking about ammo and general topics, this is covered on countless forums. Am I right in believing that the main purpose is to discuss Ithaca guns. I find very little happening in that regard. You look at the various models listed and there is hardly anything posted under any heading. I have checked back a number of times in the past 3 months and pretty much nothing new is posted. Even information asked about Ithaca guns goes unanswered. Do none of the members who are already signed up not want to discuss anything about Ithaca guns? And I am not talking the model 37. There is a lot more to Ithaca than the model 37. Are there no members who have anything to post about Ithaca double barrels? Hopefully, the forum will gain more members and more discussion/input will take place.

Well the forum is still very new but I agree there has not been a lot of talk going on in our subsections as of yet. Our site traffic continues to grow everyday which is a good sign and hopefully more and more members continue to sign up. I think spreading the word about this site via our members will help in this regard as well. Bottom line is that overtime I think this site will become much more active and all the sections will begin to fill with discussions. I started www.MossbergOwners.com back in August 2010 and it was very slow for the first 6 months and then all of a sudden took off and now continues to grow exponentially.

Newbie here. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks reading some very interesting old threads. I think the forum is great.
Starting a forum is a lot of hard work and takes a long time. I would say you are doing well. |

Thanks for the kind words! I am determined to make this the go to resource for all things Ithaca!

I Also think it's great, good job to ALL involved.

You guys do a great job. Your knowledge is only matched by your enthusiasm. I've moderated other boards and I know how much work it takes. I like the layout and the way to forums topics are setup.

Thanks! We look forward to watching this community grow into the go to source for all things Ithaca!

I like the forum, it'll take me a few days to find my way around like any thing new, but it seems very well layed out and dedicated to a favorite gun of mine, the Ithaca Model 37.

After being here a couple of days I find the forum very clean and among the easiest to navigate through. Congratulations to who ever laid it out!

I am glad you are enjoying the site and that you like the layout. A lot of thought went into it and we are very open to suggestions to make improvements.

Is there a search function that blankets the entire site?
Insert comical quip here.

Yes sir there is....see at the top of the page? On the right side...a white box...says search...
Just under that it should say "advanced search" click on that and you will find more options to search with....for the entire site. Former Admin

Oh boy, I feel like a moron.
I kept looking off to the left for a search box as seen in the specific forums which caused me to scroll further and further down. Thanks Insert comical quip here.
