I'll offer up what little help I can:

That serial number corresponds to a gun produced in 1960. With the gold inlays, it might've been a "dollar grade" gun. According to Walter Snyder's book, the MSRP of the dollar grade at that time was $2,500.

In the days before interchangeable barrels, the serial number on the barrel was accompanied by a number that corresponded to its choke. 1 was skeet, 2 was improved cylinder, 3 was modified and 4 was full.

Any pictures of the gun would help us to ID the gun.
