I saw it on the Ithaca web site and on shotgun world also. I also lurked awhile before joining.

Accidental stumble looking for a Ithaca image to use a laptop wall paper for a computer that had no saved photos.

I was looking up Ithaca shotguns and ran across your site. I am a retired deputy sheriff and have always loved the look and lines of the model 37 DS Police Special plus this is the shotgun I was trained on before the department went to the Remingtons. I have one that was made in the late 80's or early 90's if my memory serves me correctly. My second one was used and I believe it was an old police shotgun with the lettering E.P.D., whatever that department is. If anyone can tell me when this was made I would appreciate it. The serial number is 9889XX. There is no hunting scene engraved on the sides of the receiver.

By accident. Was cleaning up the bookmarks and figured since IthacaGun LLC went kaput the link wouldn't work. It did; I scrolled and here I am.
My model 37 is 16 gauge, built about '44 by serial number and still my meat gun. |

I own several model 37s. My first one was given to me by my Grandfather when I was 14. I found IthacaOwners while checking out the new 75th anniversary model 37.

I just found out about this group by Goggling Ithaca. About me: I am just over sixty and From BC Canada. Got my first Ithaca (model 37 12g) new when I was 14. Still have it. I am an Ithaca collector and have 13 Ithacas, all functioning but one, and I am working on it. Two rifles (M-49,M-49r) The rest shotguns. No two the same. Still looking and enjoying the hobby. Thanks Don
