Show off your Crass & Nig Model...

I just found an old Ithaca (Crass) built in 1897. Bought it in Ontario Canada and had it shipped out to me in BC. It is a Damascus barrel and all serial numbers match and locks up good. I'll have it checked out before I'll ever fire it. It's in pretty good shape for an old timer. Better than this old timer.

Very nice! I don't know if you can get them in Canada, but keep your eyes out for RST brand shells. They are designed to shoot in vintage doubles.

A flash in the pan, a puff of smoke, and a prayer to the great Lord on high...

This is Ithaca-Baker #19. Notice the lack of rib extension.

Is that a brass butt plate?

No. It is the hard rubber. Correct for the time.

New to the site, but I've been an Ithaca owner since 2006. My first was a 1973 model 37 12 gauge pump that my father in law gave me. I love that gun and it has dropped many a dove, some ducks, and a pair of turkeys.
He has 3 model 37s in 20, 16, and 12 gauge as well as an SkB over under in 20 gauge. This past weekend, I acquired a NIG & Crass model hammer gun in 10 gauge. It needs some serious TLC. I have the barrels with matching serial number, but the forend is missing and the stock is only partially there. The serial number is 217xx, so 1892 is the year of manufacture. The water table is marked "A 10", which means 10 gauge, but I guess grade A? I'd really like to find an original stock and forend from another gun that is missing everything else. The trigger and hammers seem to be missing springs, and the safety is gone. I realize that my best hope is getting this gun close to whole so that I can hang it on the wall, and that would make me happy. Any place to start finding original stocks/forends would be helpful. It might be a waiting game on gunbroker or another auction site. Let's see if this picture works... https://plus.google.com/u/0/app/basic/p ... atform%3D1 |

Welcome to the Ithaca Owners Forum Hi-c !!
Have you looked here...? http://www.gunstocksinc.com/web_pages/P ... -crass.htm Or here...? http://www.gun-parts.com/ithicastocks/ Or here...? http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/I.htm |

Thanks, shooter13. Yes, I found those sites. They would be a solution for the stock, but not the forend since the forend has a sizeable piece of metal attached to it. So ideally, I'm looking for a stock and forend that someone might have laying around for sale or a "parts gun" that I can take the 2 and make 1 from. |

OK...wish you luck in finding one.
Remember to keep us in the loop if you find one... |

Here is my REALLY old Crass. It is one of the first hammerless Ithaca Doubles. Its serial number is 9992 so that makes it built in 1889. It is chambered for brass shells.
