Has any one on this web sight tried the new Winchester Blind Side hexigon steel shot for waterfowl yet.
I tried it with a 3/4" plywood backstop and a 30" white circle pattern paper at 40 yards and was quite impressed.
I know I am going to use it next time duck hunting.
I find it is a little costly but very good.
Any one tried it.

There was a post on the Canadian Gunnutz Site about this shot. A fellow had tried it and from the post I took it that he was not too impressed with it.

My concerns with the shot is that its not spherical. You can make projectiles of rocks or spheres. Which travels through the air better? Which will maintain a better pattern?

A couple questions and conventional wisdom says the sphere travels better while retaining its pattern.

Maybe I'm wrong, I havent patterned it and neither have I seen patterns.
