Just joined this site. I have an Ithaca Model XL900 20 gauge, gas operated with a 28" modified choke barrel. It takes 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. I used it for small game hunting in my youth with my dad. Could not hit a dove or quail to save my life. Some said the barrel was not the best for bird hunting because the spread was compact. I would be interested to know anyone else's thoughts about this. Are there other barrels for this gun that would make shooting skeet or birds better?
Thanks,
Rick
