Yes its a single shot version of the Phoenix and I can't wait to get my hands on one personally. They are just waiting on the stocks to be finalized.

Looks like Ithaca is re-introducing the Knickerbocker. The finest single barrel trap gun ever made by a man. They now have my complete attention.

Holy cow Dan I almost passed out when I read that post. Your On! I’ve got some other vintage Ithacas added to my collection that I want to break some clays with. Including a first year Western Arms double passed down from my wife’s great grandfather. Year 1929. We’ll make a day of it.

I can't wait to get out to the range with one. By the way I might go to the range this Sunday of you want. I would love to check out your Ithacas. Keep an eye out in the Ithaca model 37 section for pictures of my new 50th anniversary deerslayer I purchased off a member on here.

I am hearing you will be able to spent a boatload on options if you choose, but I haven't seen anything concrete. Once I get a price sheet, I will let everyone know.

Not till closer to the end of the year I am afraid. They are backlogged with orders like you would not believe.
It was named after Roger Larrabee, who has been a barrel maker for something like 50 years or so. --Jim

I think the red Sunburst recoil pad would look great on the Larabee.

Um-Um-Um! Those Ithaca single's have been my favorite break open gun for years! I'm still kicking myself for not buying a 1930-something trap model in a shop some years ago for under $700.00. The new ones look just as good!

I am a trap and skeet shooter. I used different guns for each. I have been saving for the Trap model 37 which looks neat to me. And I just love Model 37s...sorry.
But this gun, which I have never heard of, looks great to me. I also like the looks of the old Ithaca Trap guns. Today, I am shooting two trap guns. An oldish Remington 870 with a modified 28" tube. I slid a cheek riser along the butt stock, and a 1917 vintage Parker SBT SC grade. I have no idea what the choke is, probably full. The Parker is about an 80/20 gun, and I shoot better with the 870, which is probably 60/40. I like the looks of this new Ithaca. I'm just wondering if I should by the model 37? |

Which brings to my mind, a question. Should I hunt up an old Ithaca Trap gun or buy this new one? Or, put another way, is this new one better than the old? I am intrigued by what I read in the company's statements about the new Ithaca barrels. If they are as perfect as they say, maybe a new gun is the way to go. Trouble is the old guns sing to me. |

The old ones sing to me as well. I own and shoot the 65 Knick made. It is hard to beat that! They were built "to stand the racket."
