I recently bought an Ithaca skb model 200e 12 gauge 2 ¾ chambered SERIAL #R136495 I got the gun from the son of rear admiral Wright who was stationed in Scotland during the 60”s. He says he thinks he bought the gun new in 1969 can you help ?????? The gun has a custom stock and fore end made out of English hardshell walnut and an ivory sight. Haven't shot it yet bought was told it was used as a bird gun. It is a very strikiing gun
ANy idea what it is worth??????? |

The Ithaca/SKB SxSs where imported from 1966- 1976-77. I have seen some on the net asking $800 -$1200. Don't know if the custom stock helps or hurts the value.

Welcome to the Ithaca Owners Forum wicketave !!

condition is everything, in todays market it goes for 1200 to 2000 dollars |

Nice gun. I also have a 200E. Looks the same. Mine is perfect except a cracked Butt Stock. I tried to have it fixed, wasn't happy with it and so now I am having a new one made. Cost $500 to get it exactly like the old one. Worth it, as it is a great gun. I've had it since the mid 70s. Chrome barrels, black outside, silver inside. Easy to clean and doesn't leave fingerprints. Donald

Here is my 200E. I'm having a new Butt Stock made as this one is cracked.

I know someone who might put that cracked stock to use (assuming it fits a 100) |

Sorry I had the new one made and the old one was thrown out. It had three cracks and they couldn't be fixed. Check on Ebay.

Hello All
Ithaca Noob here. Lucky enough to have inherited 2 model 280s one in .12 gauge, the other in .20 Just curious if there is anything specific I need to know about this model. before I take them out for a test ride

Make sure your butt stock is tight against the receiver. If there is a little play there it will crack the stock. They are real nice guns. Incase you may not know, the barrels are chromed. Black outside, silver inside. They resist rusting, finger prints, and scratches better than bluing does. Fine guns.

Thx for the info Donald!!
Haven't shot them yet but looking forward to it |
