Yup! Same here... and it will happen. As we post more, we become more visible to search engines as well as having support from Ithaca Guns!

Before long folk will be making their way here! ;)

Hey Doc...

Seems we get number of requests from Ithaca owners with serial numbers who want to know when their firearm was made. Here are a few good links that should be made into a "sticky" under a sub section named : Reference

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

http://ithacagunrepair.com/IGSN/IGSN.html

http://www.ithacagun.com/pdfs/serialnumbers.pdf

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

and here's a link to a site that sells "thee" Ithaca reference book...by Walter Claude Snyder

Let me know what you think...

I would like the site programed to place the newest post at the top of its respective section so as to make it easier to find the newest post without having to scroll through all the topics. Other than that this is a great forum on Ithaca shotguns. :D

Thanks Lon

Are you aware of this functionality? I ask because I did not see it at first (I am used to VBulletin).

Well, hopefully the forum gets going. However, I don't see much happening. As far as talking about ammo and general topics, this is covered on countless forums. Am I right in believing that the main purpose is to discuss Ithaca guns. I find very little happening in that regard. You look at the various models listed and there is hardly anything posted under any heading. I have checked back a number of times in the past 3 months and pretty much nothing new is posted. Even information asked about Ithaca guns goes unanswered. Do none of the members who are already signed up not want to discuss anything about Ithaca guns? And I am not talking the model 37. There is a lot more to Ithaca than the model 37. Are there no members who have anything to post about Ithaca double barrels? Hopefully, the forum will gain more members and more discussion/input will take place.

Well the forum is still very new but I agree there has not been a lot of talk going on in our subsections as of yet. Our site traffic continues to grow everyday which is a good sign and hopefully more and more members continue to sign up. I think spreading the word about this site via our members will help in this regard as well. Bottom line is that overtime I think this site will become much more active and all the sections will begin to fill with discussions. I started www.MossbergOwners.com back in August 2010 and it was very slow for the first 6 months and then all of a sudden took off and now continues to grow exponentially.

Newbie here. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks reading some very interesting old threads. I think the forum is great.

Starting a forum is a lot of hard work and takes a long time. I would say you are doing well.

You guys do a great job. Your knowledge is only matched by your enthusiasm. I've moderated other boards and I know how much work it takes. I like the layout and the way to forums topics are setup.
