That is a pretty slick gizmo, but shouldn't it be call an underbed gun rack? :) If you want to pad those hooks, go get yourself some of that tool tray liner material. you can find it at lowe's. Just wrap a section of it around two times or so and you have an easy pad for your gun. Plus they are a little tacky so it wouldn't slide around, either. I use that stuff for everything, from lining my ammo boxes to making a placemat so my dog's food and water dishes won't slide all over the place.
