Real good sources for people who have an old Ithaca firearm and would like to know what year it was made...

Is anyone interested in making a google document with all the Ithaca Gun Company serial numbers? I have one setup but unfortunately don't have the time to start filling it in.
can we also get a serial number list for the Upper Sandusky guns . from the Marshall years forward ?
I recently bought a used Upper Sandusky 20ga and I do not kow exactly what year it was produced . Also have an Ohio 12ga that was one of the first ones out |

Welcome to the Ithaca Owners Forum !!
...and Semper Fi Dad !! The Savage Model 720 can be a 12 or 16 gauge semi-auto shotgun featuring a walnut stock with blued 26 to 32 inch barrels. It was manufactured between 1930 and 1949. In NRA excellent condition it can be worth up to $450 ( or whatever a collector who really wants it will pay ). Source: Gun Digest 2011 Book of Guns & Prices ( 6th Edition ) Hope this helps... |

Hi,
have a problem, can't find my Ithacas. -Mod 37 Cal. 12 GA S/N 5689672 -Mod DS Police Special Cal. 12 GA S/N 371599154 Can't find them anywhere, when were they made? Thanks Franky |
Can not find the top gun, seems to have an extra number in the serial number. As for the second gun looks to be about 1975 or 1976.
On your top gun I think the -2 on the end of the serial # is the choke designation. A common mistake. If it is a 1954 DOM.

Great catch!

Thanks a lot!
Wishing you all a merry christmas!!!!!!!! |

Hi new here I am looking for year of manufac. s/n A 446761 from what i found maybe 1926 or 27.
Thanks |
Welcome aboard! To tell the year of your gun, one would need a little more info. If it is a New Ithaca Double it would be 1927. If it is a model 37 pump it would be 1952. Not sure what the "A" is before. Maybe I'm wrong and someone with more knowledge can do better. Thanks Don

Let me know what info you need. It's a double barrel 410 ithaca. I looked it up and thought it was a 1927. But i was not sure.
Yep Should be a 1927. Nice gun! 410s are worth quite a bit. Hard to find. Donald
I'm wanting a new stock for it, do you have any suggestion on replacing it? I really don't want to send it to anyone. If i could find someone in Ga would be nice. Thanks
There is one for sale on Ebay right now. You must realize that 410 doubles are very rare and to find one in good shape is even rarer. I think they want $499 for it and the forearm, but if it will fit your gun and they are as good as the seller says, that is a good deal. It really looks good in the pictures. If your gun's wood is bad, it might increase the value of yours more than the cost. Hope you find something. Donald.

IO found an old Ithaca Hammerless 12 gauge double barrel shotgun. I can't find a serial number on it. All I can find is the Ithaca Hammerless engraving on the side and a pair of Krupp Fluid Steel stamps on the top side of the barrels. Where would the serial number be?
on the receiver flats under the barrels,
on the barrels underneath where they fit onto the receiver and underneath the foregrip wood |
we would like to know the year our featherlite 20GA shot gun was made.
Serial #480508-4 thanks |

1952 according to the chart. The 4 at the end is I believe the choke designation. Welcome to the site.Have you had this shotgun very long? |
-4 means FULL choke. if you look at the front face of the receiver, opposite the forearm slide cutout, next to the barrel will be the receiver serial nbr, which should match the barrel serial nbr
